The EBMT is a collaborative peer network of professionals working in centres and as individuals in the fields of clinical bone marrow transplantation, gene therapy and cellular therapy. Together, they make up the membership of our organisation.
The EBMT has more than 6,000 members in over 70 countries. Members contribute to and benefit from the collective knowledge that the EBMT has accumulated within the EBMT Registry and focus on the main goal of saving the lives of patients with blood cancers and other life-threatening diseases.
The EBMT Registry is the backbone of the EBMT’s research and educational activities. The main purpose of the Registry is to provide a pool of data to EBMT members to perform studies and assess new trends in BMT, gene therapy and cellular therapy. As of 2023, the EBMT Registry has acquired data on over 800,000 HSCT procedures as well as data on nearly 5,000 patients that received CAR T-cell therapy. All thanks to the reporting done by our members.
