Over the last two decades, with the support of medical colleagues, BMT nursing has grown rapidly and has acknowledged the need for care of the patients, their families and donors. Nurses have been taking a leading role in the holistic care of patients; BMT nurses are involved in the decision-making process about treatment options for their patients, and they evidently contribute to an enhancement in their patients' quality of life. The five Nurses Group Committees are subgroups of the EBMT Nurses Group dedicated to achieving the goals of the EBMT Nurses Group in specific areas. Click on each for more information.
Communication & Networking Committee
Works with the EBMT Communication Coordinator on the development and production of the Newsletter.
Coordinates and organizes the annual conference, including satellite symposia and the pre-meeting education day.
Aims to improve the care of paediatric and adolescent SCT patients and to promote, develop and share knowledge between paediatric nurses.
