Introduction

The Turkey Stem Cell Transplantation Nursing  was founded in 2007 as a sub-committee of the Oncology  Nursing Association of the Republic of Turkey (TONA).  The TONA is an organisation for nurses working with patients with haematological and/or oncological diseases.

The Stem Cell Transplantation sub-committee began to actively study in 2012 and has organised six national study days. The National Stem Cell Transplantation Nurses Group was established in April 2015. The group has started to work individually since 2018.

Our Mission is to empower and to strengthen Bone Marrow Transplantation  nursing, to promote individual and public awareness of stem cell transplantion, and to increase the quality of care. We also want to improve education and continuous education programs; engage in professional research, knowledge development, professional development, and patient care standards development; and build contacts with other national groups.
