Lidia Hurtado Ortega, Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Stem Cell Transplant at the "Institut Català d'Oncologia" (Barcelona), a reference onco-haematology hospital in Spain.
The field of Haematology and clinical research have always been my inspiration. Therefore, I studied for a Master's Degree in Onco-hematology Nursing in 2016 and a Master's Degree in Advanced Nursing Clinical Practice specialized in cancer care.
I am currently working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, collaborating in the planning and coordinating the transplant logistics and providing holistic care to the patients and families involved in the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Program.
I am delighted for being part of the Scientific Committee as I will get the opportunity to further develop my knowledge in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation. Sharing experiences with expert and dedicated nurses from different places in Europe and the problems we face every day will be a very enriching experience for me.
I am convinced that taking part in an international research group will help us to develop strategies that benefit patients and their families that we all take care of.
