The Scientific Committee of the Nurses Group plays a pivotal role in uniting nurses within the hematopoietic stem cell transplantation field while empowering them to excel in their profession. I am enthusiastic to join this dedicated group. My name is Hilda Mekelenkamp, and I work as a registered paediatric hematology nurse at the Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands for over two decades. My academic journey includes completing a master's degree in clinical health science, and my current research focuses on HSCT decision making. Stepping into this new role within EBMT, I am motivated to learn from the operations of the Scientific Committee and the overall organisation of the EBMT Nurses Group. Additionally, I am enthusiastic to bring my professional expertise to this committee's responsibilities. I look forward to collaborative participation in upcoming educational initiatives.
