The JACIE Quality Managers Committee welcomes you to submit your Quality Management Abstract for the forthcoming 51st Annual Meeting of the EBMT in Florence, Italy.
Why submit a Quality Management Abstract?
There are a number of advantages in submitting your quality management abstract:
- Opportunity to present your abstract and showcase your expertise to a large audience of international experts in the field
- All accepted abstracts will be visible internationally before, during and after the EBMT Annual Meeting
- Opportunity to win free registration to attend the in-person EBMT Annual Meeting
- Chance to have your abstract published in the Bone Marrow Transplant Journal
The winning abstract will receive one of EBMT’s prestigious awards, as well as prize of 300 Euros, and will be presented during the Quality Management Day at the forthcoming EBMT Annual Meeting 2025.
There is no fee to submit a quality management abstract and this is open to all EBMT members.
What to submit as a Quality Management Abstract?
The quality management abstract should be focused solely on areas pertaining to quality management relating to "development, review and improvements of methods and standards for each step of the HSCT procedure to foster robust quality and consistency as well as error prevention in clinical practice". Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- Issues concerning implementation and maintenance of a Quality Management system, including handling challenging standards
- Quality improvements and learning through audit and outcome analysis
- Assessment methods for competencies
- Validation and change control
- Pathways to accreditation
- Experiences of HSCT in resource-constrained settings

When to submit your Quality Management Abstract?
