Inborn Errors Working Party Spring School 2024

General Information

Due to the great success of the 2023 edition, the Inborn Errors Working Party announces its second educational Spring School on Cellular Therapy for Inborn Errors of Immunity and Haematopoiesis. 

We will provide a comprehensive, participative educational event for physicians interested in all aspects of cellular therapy for patients with inborn errors of immunity and haematopoiesis. The event is aimed at colleagues in training as well as at interested physicians from centres with less experience in these conditions. The programme will include presentations on all aspects of HSCT in inborn errors, short case presentations and ample time for discussion.

Application

Application submission is closed.

Applicants must provide a brief motivation letter (max. 150 words), an abstract (max. 350 words) of a clinical case to be presented and discussed at the Spring School, and a current brief CV before 29 February 2024.

The results of the selection will be communicated to all applicants on 1 April 2024.

Accepted applicants are required to attend the entire meeting, and they will receive free registration, housing, and food. Travel costs must be covered by the participants.

Grants

Grants were distributed between selected participants.

A limited number of travel grants will be awarded to applicants based on the quality of their applications. Grants of up to €250 will be available for applicants from Europe, and up to €650 for non-European applicants.

The grant will be the maximum reimbursement that a participant is entitled to after they attend the event, and can be used to cover travel expenses. 

Venue

The Inborn Errors Working Party Spring School will be held at the Hotel Abat Cisneros on Montserrat Mountain near Barcelona.

Travel and accommodation

Participants will be responsible for covering their travel costs. All participants will be accommodated at the Hotel Abat Cisneros.

On 26 June after the programme, finishes will be organised a group transfer from Montserrat to the airport of Barcelona El Prat.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

EBMT cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Please make sure that you have a valid passport/ID to travel to Spain, and that there are no restrictions barring you from entering the country at the time of the event. Should you need a VISA letter, you’ll be able to download it after the registration process.
