
The European Hematology Association (EHA) and EBMT are excited to announce the 9th edition of the jointly organised European CAR T-cell Meeting.

Individual registration
There are five registration categories:

The “Other Professionals” category covers the following roles:
Scientists, Quality Managers, Pharmacists, Transplant Coordinators, Study Coordinators, Statisticians, Data Managers, Psychologists, Nutritionists/Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Patients, Donors, Patient Advocates, Students/PhD Students, and Trainees (non-EHA or EBMT member)
The individual registration fee includes:
- Access to all the sessions and activities according to the scientific program
- Access to the Meeting App for detailed meeting information
- Coffee breaks, welcome reception, and lunch according to the program
If you register for the meeting as an Other Professional or a Nurse, you must provide accreditation or proof of status during registration.

Discount eligibility
To be eligible for a discount, you must:
- Be a member of EHA and/or EBMT
- Have paid the relevant membership fee

Press registration
To attend 9th European CAR T-cell Meeting as Press participation, please read the EHA-EBMT 9th European CAR T-cell Meeting Media and Embargo Policy.
Press accreditation and registration are required to attend; press registration is free and includes complimentary access to the meeting.
Press Registration requests:
- A copy of your press credentials
- A letter of assignment from the media organization you represent
- Two by-lined medical/health/science articles published within the last six months
We will check your registration and credentials. Once your registration has been approved, you will receive a Press Registration Confirmation email.

Changing a name for your registration
You can change a name free of charge until Wednesday, 13 January 2027. After this date, you will need to pay a fee.
Please email us at scientificmeetings@ehaweb.org if you need to change a name for your registration.
Cancellation of registration
To cancel your registration, you must email scientificmeetings@ehaweb.org.
Refund conditions
- If we receive your cancellation 30 days or more before the beginning of the meeting, we’ll reimburse your registration fee in full (minus bank charges).
- If we receive your cancellation 30 to 15 days before the beginning of the meeting, we’ll refund 50% of your registration fee (minus bank charges).
- If we receive your cancellation less than 15 days before the beginning of the meeting, your registration fee will not be refunded.

All delegates are invited to book accommodation at selected hotels, which offer special rates for meeting registrants.

Scam alert
Beware of unauthorised or fraudulent hotel and registration booking agencies.
If you are contacted by any other company or agency offering housing and registration, you should bear in mind that they:
- Are not authorised to represent EHA or EBMT in any way
- Do not have access to the officially contracted EHA-EBMT 9th European CAR T-cell meeting room blocks or rates

Scammers promote attractive deals but have been known to ‘disappear’ once payment has been received, leaving the hotel with no record of your reservation.
Liability and insurance
EHA and EBMT cannot accept liability for personal accidents or the loss of or damage to the private property of participants.
Participants are advised to arrange their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
Passports and visas
Please ensure you have a valid passport/ID to travel to Portugal. If you need a visa letter, you’ll be able to download it after completing the registration process.
Abstract Submission
Abstract submission is an important part of this meeting.
As a participant, you’ll have the opportunity to submit an abstract and (if it is accepted) have the possibility to discuss it with the international faculty and your peers.
Submitting an abstract constitutes a formal commitment to attend the meeting in Lisbon, Portugal (should the abstract be accepted). If requested, you must also present the work as an oral or poster presentation during the assigned session and time slot in the scientific program.

All other authors who wish to take advantage of the early bird registration fee should complete their registration before 9 December 2026 (23:59 CET).

The abstracts / clinical cases submitted via the submission portal will be reviewed and allocated by the Scientific Programme Committee.

Late-breaker abstract/clinical case submission
This is an opportunity to submit groundbreaking, high-impact research with recent, time-sensitive data that could not have been available during the regular submission period.
It is not intended for work delayed due to time constraints, but for studies with the potential to significantly influence practice or advance science.
The terms and conditions will be published closer to the submission.

Guidelines for abstract/clinical case submission
Before you submit an abstract, you should read the following guidelines.
- Title count: max. 300 characters incl. space.
- Character limit: 3500 characters (incl. spaces & punctuation and headers in the template).
- Please use the following subheadings: Background / Aims / Methods / Results / Summary - Conclusion
- Images have to be submitted as JPEG, tif, or gif files:
- Due to limited space, only a simple graph/image can be submitted;
- Images and graphs should reproduce well in black and white;
- Image file should not exceed 500KB.
- Authors: There is no limit to the number of authors.
- References are obligatory when submitting an abstract or clinical case.

Eligibility criteria
To apply for a travel grant, you must:
- The applicant is 40 years of age or younger at the time of travel grant application.
- The applicant is an EHA and/or EBMT member or has applied for a membership by 14 November 2026.
- The 2026 membership fee has been paid by 14 November 2026.
Only members who have paid their membership fee will be eligible for a discount on the registration fee. You can check your EHA membership by logging into MyEHA or sending an email to membership@ehaweb.org.

Application process
Interested individuals can submit their application for the travel grant simultaneously with their abstract submission.
Selection
- Only applications that meet the eligibility criteria will be considered.
- Applications with an accepted abstracts as an oral or poster presentation will be considered.
- There are a limited number of travel grants available.
Travel grant coverage
- Complimentary registration arranged by EHA/EBMT for on-site attendance;
- Maximum of €500 for travel arrangements;
How the grant is paid
You must complete a reimbursement form after the meeting.
The grant amount will be transferred after the meeting, based on the attendance obligations.
Obligations of grant recipients
Grant recipients must:
- Grant recipients must confirm their acceptance by 15 December 2026, and provide any necessary documentation to facilitate the arrangements.
- Grant recipients must attend the full scientific meeting (sign-in will be required at the beginning of each day).
- Please note that the grant is non-transferable to other persons or meetings/congresses.
- Travel grant recipients must make their own travel arrangements (i.e. flight/train, hotel accommodation, etc.).
Deadline
The deadline for the travel grant application is 14 November 2026 (23:59 CET).
Notification
Applicants will be notified of their travel grant status by 1 December 2026 together with the abstract notification letter.

EBAH-CME Accreditation
Continuing Medical Education (CME) is widely accepted to encourage individual practitioners to:
- Maintain and develop professional knowledge and skills
- Keep up to date with the latest developments within the field
The meeting will be accredited by the EBAH system.
Under this system, participants of this meeting are eligible to receive one CME credit point for every hour of accredited activity.
