General Information

The Chronic Malignancies Working Party (CMWP) of EBMT is delighted to announce our virtual Scientific Business Meeting and Educational Meeting which will be held on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st of January 2023. The specific focus of this meeting will be on MDS and MDS/MPN overlap syndromes.

This Educational Meeting on Saturday 21st January will consist of a comprehensive series of presentations from international MDS and transplant experts with ample time for questions and debate on some difficult and practical issues!

Topics will include updates on classification and prognostication of MDS in 2023 and beyond, practical use of IPSS-molecular and how this can facilitate the transplant decision, optimal pre-transplant therapy or not in the era of novel agents, conditioning approaches for MDS - a transatlantic debate, the transplant question in CMML and a multidisciplinary approach to VEXAS - a fast-moving field.

The audience will gather together local, national and international transplantation experts from the nursing, medical and clinical data management and biostatistics expert community. We particular ask for transplant and cell therapy trainees to join us from across the disciplines.

We look forward to meeting you online and discussing these exciting topics in the field of allo-HCT and MDS and MDS/MPN!

Yours sincerely,

Donal McLornan, CMWP chair
Marie Robin, MDS subcommittee chair
Joanna Drozd-SokoĊ‚owska, CMWP Co-Secretary
Kavita Raj, CMWP Co-Secretary
