General Information
On behalf of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), we are very pleased to invite you join us for a two-day programme of clinical and research education. This, our 13th International Study Day will be held on the 7th October 2021 followed by our 5th Nurse Research Study Day on 8th October 2021. As well as nurses from across Europe, this meeting now attracts nurses working in the field from across the Globe thanks to the virtual format and the exciting agenda.
The educational programme offers a broad range of current topics around acute leukaemia and stem cell transplant. We would especially like to highlight the session focussed on steroids starting with a clinical overview followed by personal insights from a patient to deepen understanding. Another important area of concern for our patients in the context of the current pandemic is the topic of vaccination. Both patients as well as health professionals have many questions about this which the first part of this session will address and once again is followed by real life, thought provoking patient insights.
The Research Study Day highlights the valuable contribution of nursing research to the body of knowledge, showcasing examples of such work and provide support and education to those aspiring to undertake research in this field. The main goal for this day is to inspire nurses to ‘do research’ by sharing practical tips and guidance and the valuable opportunity to listen to nurses describe their own research experiences. We also want to highlight presentations from experts in nursing research showcasing their experiences of identifying research priorities, patient recruitment, sample size calculations as well as design and validation of questionnaires.
The educational and research study days inform, inspire and stimulate nurses to advance the care they deliver. Knowledge informs practice, and these study days are an invaluable contribution to this. Additionally, they create a forum to share best practice and foster collaborative opportunities across Europe and beyond.

You can pay by credit card, PayPal, or wire transfer. Please note that if you pay by wire transfer, you’ll be required to send proof of payment to education.events@ebmt.org 10 days after you register. Otherwise, your registration will be automatically cancelled.
The registration includes access to the live meeting and on-demand content. The content will be available until the 8th of November 2021. After that date, most of the content will be transferred to the EBMT e-Learning platform. All EBMT members will be able to access the content for free.
The registration closes on the 5th of October 2021, at 23.45 CET.
