GoCART supports Observership Programme trainees to attend the EBMT 11th International Transplant and Cellular Therapy Course (ITCTC26), 11–13 September 2026, Barcelona, Spain.
GoCART invites trainee physicians from emerging CART centres to conduct a 1 to 2-week placement with established CART centres to learn best practices for developing a successful cellular therapy programme. The programme aims to facilitate knowledge transfer, promote best practices, and contribute to the development of high-quality CART programmes across Europe.
GoCART provides the trainee organisation with 4,000 EUR to cover the costs of the placement (travel, accommodation, living expenses). GoCART also provide the host organisation with 4,000 EUR to be used to support departmental conference attendance.
GoCART supported 6 of the GoCART Observership Programme trainees to attend the ITCTC26. It was great to welcome them and hear about their experiences of the programme and their enthusiasm for advancing cellular therapy in their home centres.
The GoCART Observership Programme is a great example of how collaboration can support international knowledge exchange, bringing professionals together to share expertise, learn from different practices and build connections across the cellular therapy community.
We would like to thank the trainees for bringing such enthusiasm, curiosity and engagement to the EBMT ITCTC26. It was a pleasure to have them with us and to hear first-hand about their observership experiences and how they will use their new knowledge.
We have now supported 12 observerships across Europe. If you would like to read about the trainees’ experiences, and apply to be a host or a trainee, please read here.
