We have sad news that Professor Jim Biggs, pioneer of Haematology and BMT in Australia, who was recognised by an EBMT Clinical Achievement Award during the 45th Annual Meeting of the EBMT in 2019 in Frankfurt, died peacefully in Sydney on April 22, 2023. Professor Biggs' lifetime achievements is commemorated in a formal obituary in Bone Marrow Transplantation. Read: James Crawford Biggs 1931–2023
