EBMT is pleased to announce two new appointments to key JACIE committee leadership roles.
Lea Brandt Kristenssen has been appointed Chair of the JACIE Quality Managers Committee. In this role, she will lead the committee's work supporting quality management practice across certified centres and driving continued alignment with FACT-JACIE standards.
Ms Kristenssen is a Quality Manager and Data Manager at the Adult Stem Cell Transplantation Unit at Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark since 2013. She has been a QM Inspector since 2018 and has completed 12 inspections across Europe as well as in South Africa.
She has been an active member of the Quality Management Committee and has participated in the 9th Edition of FACT-JACIE HCT Standards Development.
Dr Olga López Villar has been appointed Chair of the JACIE Assurance Committee, where she will oversee the committee's assurance activities and contribute to maintaining the rigour and consistency of the JACIE certification programme.
Dr Lopez has been a JACIE Inspector for collection, processing and quality management since 2012 participating in 18 inspections in Europe and South Africa. She has been a member of the Assurance Committee since 2017. She has been a member of the QMC 2019-2023 and is a current member of the Inspector Committee.
We congratulate both on their new roles and look forward to their continued contribution to JACIE's mission of quality and certification excellence.
EBMT would also like to extend sincere thanks to the outgoing Chairs of these committees, Ms Anne Emmett (QMC) and Dr Charles Crawley (JAC) for their dedication and leadership over the course of their tenure.
