Hello, I am Daniel and I have been working as a registered nurse in oncology since 2015. Currently I am working as an advanced practice nurse in the field of haematology and stem cell transplantation at the hospital Klinikum Stuttgart, Germany. I completed my Master’s Degree in Nursing Science in 2021 at the University Freiburg, Germany. From the beginning I have been striving for a deeper understanding of stem cell transplant nursing and cellular therapies to promote high quality care based on scientific evidence and patient needs. Therefore I am also focussing on interprofessional collaboration as well as quality improvement interventions in my daily practice as an advanced practice nurse, specializing on CAR T-cell patients and their caregivers.

Starting a career in the field of stem cell transplant nursing can be challenging as our field is complex and both knowledge and practice are rapidly evolving. I am honoured to be part in the Scientific Committee of the EBMT Nurses Group as the Next Generation Nurse Representative as it gives me the opportunity to inspire young and early career nurses to join our field and to introduce them to the work of the EBMT. I am looking forward to representing early career nurses, their interests and needs and to promoting a multigenerational exchange.
