Marking another Anniversary for the EBMT Registry

Two years ago, in August 2023, the EBMT Registry system went live (read the announcement), marking a major milestone in the way transplant and cellular therapy data is collected, managed, and shared across Europe and beyond.

Since then, almost 65,000 new patients have been added, bringing the EBMT Registry to a total of over 790,000 patient records. This remarkable achievement has been made possible thanks to the dedication of our growing community of data editors: 707 were certified in 2023, 1,112 in 2024, and 1,279 in 2025.

Between go-live and the end of July 2025, a total of 73,432 treatments have been registered. These numbers highlight both the commitment of our community and the pivotal role of the EBMT Registry in advancing research.

We are proud of the progress made so far and deeply grateful to the data managers, clinicians, and researchers whose contributions make the EBMT Registry such a powerful resource.

As we celebrate this milestone, our focus remains on continuous improvement. New features and enhancements are already underway to ensure the EBMT Registry continues to evolve as a reliable, high-quality resource for research, clinical practice, and regulatory needs.

We sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to this journey and reaffirm our commitment to further strengthening the EBMT Registry, with the ultimate goal of improving patient care.
