On May 24, 2025, 2025 China-Europe Scientific Forum on Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy was grandly inaugurated in Guangzhou. The event was jointly organised by the Haematology Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care and the EBMT Shanghai Office. It was co-hosted by the National Clinical Research Center for Hematologic Diseases – Peking University, Institute of Hematology; Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center; and The Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, with the support of the Boxiao Foundation under the aegis of the Fondation de France.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Liang Yang of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, who extended a warm welcome to all attending experts and introduced presidents of the meeting from both China and Europe. Professor Huang Xiaojun of the National Clinical Research Center for Hematologic Diseases – Peking University, Institute of Hematology delivered the welcome speech on behalf of the local organisers. He emphasized the pivotal role of China-Europe cooperation in driving innovation in haematology, stating that it will continue to advance cutting-edge research in the field and jointly build a global community of health. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to Professor Liang Yang, Professor LU Ben, and their teams for their meticulous organisation, as well as to the Boxiao Foundation for its long-standing support of China-Europe cooperation and exchange. In her address, Professor Anna Sureda, President of the EBMT, spoke highly of the forum as a model of international cooperation. She noted that since its inception, the forum has become a key platform for dialogue and collaboration between Chinese and European experts. “Science knows no borders,” she remarked, “and transnational collaboration is a core driving force in overcoming clinical challenges.” She expressed strong expectations for continued deepening of China-Europe academic exchange.
Following the opening ceremony, the EBMT New Member Certificate Awarding Ceremony was held, presided over by Professor Norbert Claude Gorin, President of the EBMT Global Committee. Nine new Chinese center members were formally awarded membership certificates on site. At the end of the ceremony, under Professor Gorin’s invitation, representatives of the new members joined Professor Anna Sureda (EBMT President), Professor Nicolaus Kröger and Mr. Zheng Yi (the EBMT Shanghai Office Representatives), and Professor Huang Xiaojun (Chinese Co-President of the Forum) for a group photo to commemorate the continued expansion of this global cooperation network.
Throughout the forum, experts from China and Europe engaged in in-depth discussions on the latest progress and future perspectives of haematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT), fundamental and preclinical research, the integration of novel cell therapies into transplantation, and the diagnosis and management of transplant-related complications. In addition to sharing cutting-edge data and case studies, participants debated hot topics with great enthusiasm. The forum not only showcased the synergy and mutual learning between China and Europe in terms of concepts, technologies, and clinical practices, but also further solidified the foundation for long-term collaboration. It contributed to building a more interconnected international academic network. Through this high-level platform, all participants jointly injected fresh momentum into advancing the diagnosis and treatment of hematologic diseases and improving patient outcomes.
聚焦前沿发展——2025年中欧血液与骨髓移植科学会议在广州成功举办
2025年5月24日，由中国医疗保健国际交流促进会血液学分会和欧洲血液和骨髓移植协会基金会（荷兰）上海代表处共同主办，国家血液系统疾病临床医学研究中心-北京大学血液病研究所、中山大学肿瘤防治中心和中南大学湘雅二医院联合承办，法国博效基金会支持的“2025年中欧血液与骨髓移植科学会议”在广州盛大启幕。
大会开幕式由中山大学肿瘤防治中心梁洋教授主持。他首先对与会专家表示热烈欢迎，并介绍了中欧双方的主席团成员。北京大学血液病研究所黄晓军教授作为主办方代表致辞，强调了中欧合作在推动血液学创新中的关键作用，将持续推动血液学前沿研究的发展，携手构建全球健康共同体。他特别感谢梁洋教授、吕奔教授及其团队对本次会议的精心筹备，以及博效基金会长期以来对中欧合作交流的支持。EBMT主席Anna Sureda教授在致辞中高度评价此次会议是国际合作的典范，自论坛创办以来，已成为中欧专家开展对话与合作的重要平台，并指出“科学无国界，跨国协作是突破临床挑战的核心动力”，特別期待中欧学术交流持续深化。
开幕式后还举行了EBMT中国新会员颁证仪式，由EBMT全球委员会主席Norbert Claude Gorin教授主持，并在现场为九家新晋单位颁发会员证书。仪式最后，在Norbert Claude Gorin教授的邀请下，全体新会员代表与EBMT主席Anna Sureda 教授、EBMT上海代表处代表Nicolaus Kröger教授和郑谊先生、大会中方主席代表黄晓军教授合影留念，共同见证这一全球合作网络的持续壮大。
会议期间，中欧专家围绕造血干细胞移植的最新进展与未来展望、移植基础与临床前研究、新型细胞治疗与移植的结合实践，以及移植并发症的诊治展开深入交流，不仅分享了前沿数据和病例分析，还就热点问题进行了热烈讨论。大会不仅展现了中欧在理念、技术与临床实践中的融合与互鉴，也进一步夯实了双方长期合作的基础，推动构建更加紧密的国际学术网络。借助这一高水准平台，参会各方共同为推动血液病诊疗水平的进步、提升患者的生存质量注入了新动力。
