JACIE Podcast – JACIE'S new podcast for HCT professionals navigating certification, continuous improvement, and the evolving landscape of stem cell therapy.

Welcome to the third episode of Inside JACIE: Quality in Practice - Quality at the Core: Inspections with a Foreign-Language Team: Real- World Experiences from Both Inspectors and Centres, presented by the EBMT Quality Managers Committee (QMC).

Join us for an engaging and practical conversation that explore the challenges and opportunities of multilingual inspections through the experiences of both inspectors and certified centres.

Our panel shares practical insights into preparing for inspections where language barriers exist, including reviewing translated SOPs and documentation, managing complex technical terminology, and ensuring that important nuances and context are accurately conveyed. The discussion also examines where misunderstandings are most likely to occur, how interpretation support can be enhanced, and the steps both inspectors and centres can take to improve communication and preparedness.

Through honest reflection and real-world examples, this episode highlights the importance of clear communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement in ensuring effective and successful cross-language inspections.

The QMC would like to thank all participants Host Rachel Luke, Centre’s and Inspector perspective Lea Brandt Kristensen, Centre’s perspective Julie Dolva and Inspector’s perspective Tuula Rintala and Stuart Kennedy.
