Based on the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union in May 2018, all aspects of data sharing and transfer between the EU and other nations were actively reviewed.
Data transfer via AGNIS from EBMT to CIBMTR was therefore formally halted in May 2018.
Further developments will take place to explore the potential for a new solution based on bidirectional electronic data sharing for the long term, that will benefit and support all parties involved.
