The application period for the DKMS John Hansen Research Grant 2027 is now open

DKMS is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the lives of patients with blood cancer and blood disorders. With more than 13.5 million registered potential stem cell donors, DKMS has succeeded in providing more than 135,000 second chances at life worldwide. The organization also drives its own research to improve treatment outcomes and supports young scientists in this field, for example through the DKMS John Hansen Research Grant.

DKMS Stiftung Leben Spenden is once again inviting young outstanding scientists from all over the world to apply for the DKMS John Hansen Research Grant 2027 by November 16, 2026. Up to four talented researchers who are advancing the fields of blood stem cell transplantation and cell therapy for hematological diseases will be awarded and receive €240,000 research funding each, over a period of three years.
