Dear Friends and Colleagues,

This year’s meeting of the Transplant Complications Working Party of the EBMT is in Copenhagen, Denmark from September 14–16. Continuing last year’s success, this year’s meeting is once again a very practical off-line educational meeting called “How to survive stem cell transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy guide for physicians and nurses”. The meeting will be focusing on practical skills and case-based discussions.

This year we plan to provide travel and participation grants for trainees and young physicians. To apply for the grant, young physicians are encouraged to submit cases for case-based discussions in the form of a short abstract (max. 500 words). Best cases will be selected for a 5–7 minutes oral presentation. We primary welcome original and unusual cases, which do not fall into standard international guidelines and could become a subject for live discussion.

  • Guidelines:
    • Word or PDF document
    • The case can be structured (e.g. Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions)
    • Maximum number of words: 500
    • Mention all the authors

The following topics are open for case submission:

  • Patient journey through allogeneic transplant complications (focus on stratification of complications’ risks)
  • Patient journey through GVHD (focus on acute and chronic GVHD treatment)
  • Patient journey through early complications after alloSCT (focus on VOD and TMA)
  • Patient journey through late effects and practical guide to implementing patient reported outcomes (focus on late effects monitoring and treatment)
  • Practical guide to manage CAR-T complications (focus on CAR-T complications)

Submit your case before 23 July 2023 by email to education.events@ebmt.org.
