On behalf of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), we are pleased to invite you to join us for a two-day clinical education and research program in Brussels, Belgium. Our 14th International Study Day will be held on October 6, 2022 followed by our 6th Nursing Research Study Day on October 7, 2022.

Together with the nursing committee of the Belgian Hematology Society (BHS), we have put together a rich and varied program on stem cell transplant and cell therapy. The programme for our education day offers an update on current transplantation practices with highlights on infections, nutrition guidelines, donor selection, late effects and GVHD.

These sessions are followed by an afternoon focused on adoptive T-cell therapy, the management of side effects in CAR-T and the role of cell therapies in Multipel Myeloma.

We will also include presentations on advanced care planning before rounding off the day with a very important session on the evolution and directions on patient involvement.

The research study day highlights the valuable contribution of nursing research to the body of knowledge, presenting examples of this type of work and providing support and education to those who aspire to undertake research in this area.  The main objective of the day is to inspire nurses to "do research" by sharing practical tips and the opportunity to hear nurses describe their own research experiences. We would also like to acknowledge the contribution provided by international research transplant nurses by inviting those professionals awarded with best research works at EBMT annual meeting.

This year, our study day will be focused on "Ethics in research", covering topics such as ethics in data collection and publication. For that, we will count on internationally recognized experts in the field. By this Research Study Day we aim to inspire and encourage nurses to advance their care by sharing best practices, taking opportunities for collaboration in Europe and to take on nursing research.
