Inborn Errors Working Party Annual Conference

Dear Colleagues,

This year, the annual conference of the Inborn Errors Working Party (IEWP) will be organised in Helsinki, Finland, on 27-29 September 2024. It will be a great pleasure to welcome you on behalf of EBMT.

As always, the meeting will feature comprehensive sessions on stem cell transplantation and gene therapy in inborn errors of immunity, inborn errors of metabolism, as well as new indications, but also the pathophysiological pathways behind these diseases.

This year’s special sessions will focus on the pathophysiology of IEI, on inborn errors in the Finnish population, on viral infections, on gene therapy, etc. Two keynote presentations will be given by Dusan Bogunovic and Don Kohn.

Registration

The registration will close on the 22 September 2024, or when is sold out. 

Please note this is a 100% face-to-face event with no virtual component.


Members of the Inborn Errors Working Party have a free registration to this event. The general registration fee is 50€. 

Fee includes entry to all sessions, coffee breaks and lunches during the course.

To register, please click on the “Register” button above. You can pay by credit card or wire transfer. Should you need a VISA letter, you’ll be able to download it after the registration process.

Registration Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be electronically mailed or postmarked by using the option "Modify registration".

Refund of registration fees will be as follows:

• In case of cancellation, up until one month prior to the beginning of the meeting, your registration fee will be reimbursed in full (less bank charges).
• If the cancellation is notified between 15 and 30 days prior to the beginning of the meeting, 50% of the registration fee will be reimbursed (less bank charges).
• Cancellations notified between 1 and 15 days registration fee will not be refunded.

Certificate of Attendance

After the event, you will receive an email with a short survey to evaluate the course. Once you have completed it, you will be able to download the certificate of attendance.

The Educational Meeting will be held in the University of Helsinki, Main building, only in person.

From Helsinki Airport:

   - 35-50 min taxi transfer
   - city train to Helsinki Central Station, walk 8 min to the University of Helsinki.

Travel and accommodation

Participants will be responsible for covering their travel and accommodation costs. The below map shows some accommodation options near the course's venue. Please note that EBMT does not manage hotel availability or set prices.

EBMT cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to the private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
