My name is Sólveig Ósk Adalsteinsdóttir, born and raised in Iceland, were I graduated with a BSc in nursing from the university of Akureyri in 2007. I started working at the haematology department straight after graduation and really felt that I was in the right place. In 2010 I moved to Stockholm, Sweden and started working at the Cell therapy clinic at Karolinska university hospital. I finished my masters in oncology nursing in 2017 (haematology care was not available) and started working as head of nurse development for the cell therapy clinic in 2018. In my role I have been able to be involved in research, working strategically for the nursing care at the clinic and form the internal education for nurses and nurse´s assistants. Being a part of the EBMT family is such an honour for me. From the time I attended my first EBMT conference in Valencia 2016 I knew that I wanted to get involved in one way or another. For me it is very important to help educate new nurses, help nurses all over communicate with each other, to make the care of the patients better and help shape the future for nurses working in cell therapy. I hope being a part of the Nurses Group Scientific Committee helps me achieve all that and more.

My name is Davide Bonomi, I am 29 years old and I am a RN, MScN. Since 2019 I have been working at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in the Bone Marrow Transplant and Pediatric Immunohematology Unit. Over the years, I have focused on the role of the nurse mentor, a crucial figure in supporting newly graduated nurses as they begin their careers in a complex and highly demanding environment.  Since 2023, I am a lecturer at the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele for the course "Clinical Nursing in Oncology", where I share my expertise and experience with the next generation of nurses.  I have decided to apply for the Scientific Committee as I think it is a great opportunity to challenge myself and to share my experience for supporting our ever-evolving profession.
