“I am Özgün Gökmen Kaya. I have 10 years of experience in stem cell transplant nursing in academic-clinical and international-national settings. I graduated from Istanbul University Florence Nightingale School of Nursing in 2014, completed my master's degree in 2019 and currently I am a doctoral student. I worked as a team leader of the nurses’ team in the transplant unit for 5 years and then as a clinical trial coordinator nurse for 5 years. I was also an observer at Oxford University Hospital – John Radcliffe in 2018. I am currently a charge nurse in the clinical research team at Phase 1 Clinical Trial Center of Koc University Hospital.
My main areas of interest are cellular therapies, innovative treatment approaches, mesenchymal stem cells, clinical trials, research utilization in nursing, patient education.
I look forward to working with Nurses Group Research Committee to share my research experience and to learn more and contribute to transplant nursing.”
