EBMT and EHA are delighted to announce the launch of the GoCART Observership Programme in 2026, a pioneering initiative designed to advance the field of cellular therapy by connecting emerging CART centres with established leaders across Europe. This innovative programme is set to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and networks necessary to develop and sustain successful cellular therapy programmes in their home institutions.
The Observership Programme commences with a pilot phase, supporting four trainees from the Republic of Ireland, Czech Republic, Poland and Romania. These individuals have been selected for their commitment to excellence and their potential to drive progress in their respective centres. Each trainee will embark on a unique learning journey, joining expert teams at experienced host centres in Spain, France, Germany and Italy.
- Janusz Krawczyk from Galway University Hospital, Ireland, will join Julio Delgado’s team at Hospital Clinic Barcelona, Spain.
- Jan Novák from Fakultni Nemocnice Kralovske Vinohrady (FKNV), Prague, Czech Republic, will join Guillaume Cartron’s group at CHU Montpellier, France.
- Piotr Stelmach from Copernicus Memorial Hospital, Lodz, Poland, will join Marion Subklew’s team at LMU Munich, Germany.
- Alexandra Tule from Fundeni Clinical Institute, Bucharest, Romania, will join Annalisa Ruggeri’s team at San Raffaele Scientific Institute Milan, Italy.
