There is an exciting opportunity to apply for the EBMT Nurses Group annual scholarships. These scholarships open until Tuesday 30 June 2026. Please note the following before applying:
- Only applications received during this period will be shortlisted
- You can apply for one scholarship or grant only each year
- Any applicants who submit for more than one grant will be rejected
- If you have previously applied for or been awarded a grant, you must state this in your application. Failure to do so may result in the grant offer being withdrawn.
Next Generation Annual Meeting Grant: €1,000
The EBMT Nurses Group continues this award recognising early career nurses new to the field of transplantation. Each recipient will be awarded up to 1000 euros towards the EBMT Annual Meeting 2027 registration, travel and accommodation.
Successful applicants are required to provide an article on their experiences at the EBMT Annual Meeting for the EBMT Newsletter and their own social media.
Application criteria:
- Working at EBMT member centre in the field of HCT and cell therapy 2-5 years
- Working in a clinical role
- Active on social media (e.g. X, LinkedIn) with experience of using this medium for professional communication
- Under 35 years of age
- Able to attend Annual Meeting of the EBMT 2027 in Rotterdam, in person.

- a statement of support describing
a). what being a young transplant nurse means to you
b). how you will benefit from this grant (250 words)
- a copy of ID (passport, driving licence)

Annual Meeting Grant for a nurse working with adult patients: €1,000
Each recipient will be awarded up to 1000 euros towards the Annual Meeting of the EBMT 2027 registration, travel and accommodation.
Successful applicants are required to provide an article on their experiences at the Annual Meeting for the EBMT Newsletter.

Centre Visit Educational Scholarship: €1,000
Provides the opportunity for members to gain experience and a different perspective in their area of interest. Those interested need to identify a centre that is willing to accommodate them for the duration of the centre visit prior to submitting an application. The EBMT Nurses Group will fund up to 1000 Euros for travel and accommodation. The visit should take place before May 2027.
Successful applicants are required to provide an article on their experiences for the EBMT Newsletter.

- a short motivation letter (maximum 250 words) including your motivation for the visit
- the centre that is willing to accommodate you
- your current CV

Exchange Grant: €1,000
Provides funding for 2 people for an exchange visit between 2 different centres. Those interested need to identify a centre that is willing to accommodate them for one week and apply together with the identified exchange nurse from that centre. The EBMT Nurses Group will fund 1000 Euros each for travel and accommodation. The exchange should take place before May 2027.

Paediatric Grant: Paediatric-focused Educational Meeting or Annual Meeting 2027 (€1,000)
Provides funding up to 1000 euros for travel, accommodation and registration for this highly valued course for paediatric nurses working in the field of HCT.
The successful applicant will be a nurse working in the paediatric setting and attend the next paediatric-focused educational meeting following the grant application period or attend the EBMT Annual Meeting in 2027. Please indicate your preference in the application.
