"It is a great honour to be elected to the Executive Committee of EBMT. To optimize the advancement of cell therapies it will be important to continue to work closely with donors and patients, include novel tools such as patient-reported outcomes measures, continue our scientific work as a community and address age- and gender-specific issues faced by patients. Major challenges for the future are amongst others improving equality, diversity and inclusion, and the costs of novel cell therapies. "It’s an honour and a privilege for me to have been selected as the new SAAWP Chair, as it was in the past 19 years of being part of this community. "It is a great honour to have been elected as the new Chair of the EBMT PDWP. The efforts of our Pediatric Diseases Working Party to harmonize practices across Europe and to promote European guidelines in pediatric HSCT and cellular therapy are projects that were initiated over the last years and I am eager to continue this work and fully support the ongoing projects aiming for an international consensus.
