The GITMO-EBMT committee aims to maintain contact between the Italian and the European group through attendance at the EBMT meetings and National Chair group meetings; presentation of GITMO posters or reports at EBMT Annual Meeting; reporting to the GITMO Annual Meeting the important aspects of the EBMT's work; and involvement of GITMO in EBMT studies and vice-versa.

The Committee also maintains contacts with Italian centres through email lists and promotes EBMT educational programmes for nurses. Where possible we aim to facilitate discussion on practice issues and standards and provide facilities for networking at the national level.

The GITMO NG Board meets three times per year. Any educational meetings organised by the Group are open to all nurses and allied health professionals working within the scope of stem cell transplantation.
