It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 53rd Annual Meeting of the EBMT, taking place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from April 11 to 14, 2027.
For more than five decades, the EBMT has continued to Bridge Scientific Research and Clinical Reality, enabling transformative advances in transplantation, immune effector cell therapies, and gene therapy. The Annual Meeting remains a central forum for sharing innovation, fostering collaboration, and translating scientific progress into improved patient care. The Netherlands has played a formative role in the history of transplantation, through the visionary work of founding figures such as Jon van Rood and Dick van Bekkum, whose fundamental contributions helped shape the scientific and clinical foundation of modern transplantation. Hosting the Annual Meeting in the Netherlands reflects both our commitment to the future of transplantation and our respect for the legacy that shaped it.
The Rotterdam meeting will once again bring together a truly multidisciplinary community, including physicians, nurses, data managers, statisticians, quality managers, cell therapists, laboratory scientists, pediatricians, pharmacists, psychologists, transplant coordinators, trainees, and patient representatives. The 53rd Annual Meeting of the EBMT is a congress for all those involved in the care of transplant, cellular and gene therapy patients.
