The EMBMT German Nurse Group for Stem Cell Transplantation for adult and paediatric nursing was formed in 1998.
The group meets regularly two times a year, in spring and autumn, in one of the 29 hospitals with centres for HSCT and BMT, on a rotational basis.
The aims and objectives of the German Nurse Group include:
- Building a network for nurses to have a better exchange of knowledge
- Getting to know other centres and how they work
- Improving education
- Working together with the EBMT Nurses Group
- Promoting exchange between national and international projects of the oncology medical society
