EBMT Registry Update. MED-A News
![]() |
Following the information published in the last issue
of EBMT News, we would like to remind you that the revised MED-A form must be
used to register your transplants. The latest MED-A form for HSCT can be downloaded
from the Registry web-page by clicking
here. The new form includes more information on Conditioning, HLA and DLI.
Please note that any previous versions of the MED-A are now obsolete.
Paper form users should send only the latest version to Paris / their national
registry. ProMISe users can enter the new MED-A using code 11 (first report) or
code 13 (follow up). Note that the former codes 1 and 3 are no longer available.
In the latest MED-A, the checkbox asking permission to transfer
data to the CIBMTR has been removed. Instead we keep a permission form on file
for each centre wishing to take part in the data transfer. New centres wishing
to submit MED-A to the CIBMTR via the EBMT can send us the form using the permission
form which can be downloaded from here.
The question on patient consent has also been removed. Instead we keep
an EU regulations form on file for each centre, where the Principal Investigator
has agreed to abide by the EU data regulations. (Note that this clause is now
automatically included in the EBMT membership application forms and the ProMISe
application forms).
MED-B News
We
are pleased to announce that a selection of revised MED-B disease inserts is now
available online:
- Acute Leukaemia*
- AL Amyloidosis
- Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL)
- Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML)
- Plasma Cell Disorders including Multiple Myeloma
*The new Acute Leukaemia MED-B form was already released in September but we have since made a correction. The questions on Chloroma should be for AML only and not ALL. We apologise for this error.
All
forms can be downloaded from here.
New Autograft and Allograft inserts are also available at
this link and should be used to register the diseases above. These forms have
been implemented in the registry database and ProMISe users can enter this data
using new codes 12 (first report) and 14 (follow up).
We recommend
that you continue using the previous Autograft and Allograft inserts for all other
diseases for the time being, until you hear from us again. A number of new MED-B
forms nfor other diseases will be available in the coming weeks and the Registry
Office will email Principal Investigators and Data Managers with further details.
Please contact Shelley Hewerdine at the Registry Office with any queries on data submission or the ProMISe MED-AB database
