Many important Elections and Re-Elections will be held throughout the meeting in Lyon. Please click here to view candidate profiles.

 

Votes may be cast at the EBMT stand from 12.00hrs on Sunday 25th March until 19.00hrs on Tuesday 27th March and the results will be announced at the General Assembly Meeting from 08.00 – 09.00hrs on Wednesday 28th March.

 

Please note that there may only be one vote per centre. If no representative from your CIC will be present in Lyon to vote please show your centre's support by faxing the voting slip to the Secretariat Office: +34.93.453.1263.

 

This should be signed by the Principal Investigator of your centre and should reach the Secretariat no later than 12.00 hrs on Thursday 22nd March. Please note that email votes cannot be accepted.

Working Parties

ALWP - Research in the field of haematopoietic transplant for acute leukaemia is an expanding subject with several new areas, which deserve specific attention. Among its objectives, ALWP has to recognise new strategies of transplant and promote focused investigation. CLWP - The MMVAR trial (Multiple Myeloma Velcade At Relapse) is an EBMT sponsored, randomised, prospective study, comparing thalidomide + dexamethasone versus bortezomib (velcade) + thalidomide + dexamethasone for the treatment of multiple myeloma patients progressing or relapsing after autologous transplantation....(click here)

Committees

Following 11th September Twin Tower terrorist action in New York, concern has been raised in the world-wide media relating to other forms of terrorism, including the possibility of the release of radioactive material from an explosion in a nuclear power station. The EBMT Nuclear Accident Committee present their proposal on the Care of Radiation Sickness Casualties in Europe and the role that EBMT centres have to play in this important initiative...

Registry

Some time ago, the EBMT Board agreed to centralise the routine registry work in one office. It was the aim to separate the routine registry data management (non-research specific) from the retrospective studies.
