The EBMT 2008 meeting in Florence marked the end of the first year of the 2-year CLINT project funded by the EU under the Sixth Framework Programme. It was an ideal opportunity to bring together members of the CLINT Steering Committee for a project status review and to organise two key sessions: A Statistical Roundtable debate on the methodological approaches to SCT analyses (minutes) A Workshop to explore governance issues in relation to the management of trans-national clinical trials in SCT under the EU Clinical Trials Directive. A report on these activities is included in the Post EBMT 2008 Congress Bulletin. **Call to investigators to complete a Questionnaire on the impact of the EU Clinical Trials Directive on clinical trials in SCT** Following on from the CLINT workshop in Florence, investigators involved in clinical trials in SCT were invited to complete a more focused questionnaire on the impact of the EU Clinical Trials Directive. The deadline for completing the questionnaire has been extended to 25th July and we would encourage you to take 10 minutes to complete the online questionnaire: www.msbi.nl/wp3q. Please TYPE the link by hand into your browser address bar by hand rather than use copy/paste. The Password is CLINTETHICS (all uppercase letters). When you enter the portal, click on "Questionnaires" and when you reach the screen with the blue pencil select *Q2, enter the password and then click on the blue pencil. This will take you to the questionnaire screen. Please remember to click "Submit" when it is completed.
At the end of May an interim management report was duly submitted to the EU. The full Activity Report is available for consultation on the CLINT website in the section Management Reports. A summary of the achievements to date and the ongoing goals of the Work Packages are provided in the Project Update.
Launch of CLINT project website As communicated to members earlier this month by the CLINT Steering Committee, we are pleased to announce the launch of the CLINT project website: www.clint.ebmt.org The section Project Information offers a comprehensive overview of the project work packages, deliverables and timelines. We would also draw your attention to the Clinical Trials section, which details the Review process for the approval of EBMT Clinical Trials, approved by the EBMT Board in Florence. A list of SOPs currently in use by the EBMT Clinical Trials Office is also available. The website has been created using Microsoft Sharepoint 7 and has an underlying portal structure which will be developed over the next 6 months to incorporate relevant information on Data Management, Clinical Trials & Statistical Analysis in SCT aimed at researchers in the field. Member access.
