Severe Aplastic Anaemia
The SAAWP reports on Aplastic Anaemia (AA) and other rare acquired and inherited bone marrow failure disorders.
The SAAWP provides essential data on outcomes after treatment from large numbers of patients that can only be obtained from large registries like the EBMT. It also provides important clinical information needed to help classify and characterise the disease and data on the natural history of the disease and late effects that occur after treatment.
The SAAWP holds the Aplastic Anaemia (AA) database that is the only “disease specific” database within the EBMT. Data are collected not only on patients receiving transplants but also other forms of therapy, including immunosuppressive therapy.

Autoimmune Diseases

The ADWP is dedicated to promote clinical activities, teaching and translational researches, mainly autologous /allogeneic HSCT together with of novel forms of cellular therapies and new immunosuppressive drugs in a specific challenge to induce tolerance and to better understand the possibility of resetting the immune response during treatment of severe autoimmune diseases.
The ADWP has a strategic role of interaction with other Autoimmune Diseases (AD) specialists and their respective scientific societies.

Chronic Malignancies

The CLWP promotes and conduct educational activities and clinical investigations on HSCT in chronic leukaemias, myelodysplastic/proliferative syndromes and plasma cell disorders as well as on the early complications that can be caused by HSCT in order to improve treatment strategies and quality of life for patients.
The CLWP consists of five subcommittees: chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), multiple myeloma (MM), myelodysplastic syndromes/myeloproliferative syndromes (MDS/MPD) and complications.
The CLWP works in cooperation with several Working Groups of the European LeukemiaNet, ERIC, Myeloma Network, national transplant groups, and with the IBMTR.

Inborn Errors
The IEWP is dedicated to improving the outcome of transplantation for inborn errors of metabolism including severe congenital immunodeficiencies and metabolic diseases.
The IEWP aim to do this through the exchange of ideas and transplant data; international collaborative retrospective studies to look at the outcome of transplant for these conditions; the development of transplant guidelines and the education of transplant physicians worldwide; the development and use of a common registry to document and analyse results of treatment.
