. Retrospective Studies & Clinical Trials
Close of Clinical Trial

The Clinical Trials & Study Office in Leiden would like to inform all members of the closure of the following trial:

¨CML relapse (DLI vs. Imatinib) Study¨

At a recent meeting of the CLWP committee chairs, it was decided that the EBMT will be closing the CML relapse (DLI vs. Imatinib) study. It was mainly due to the current climate of using Glivec for relapse after allografting in CML and the lack of financial support that would make the running of a randomised clinical trial very difficult.

Cesare Guglielmi would like to thank you all for your cooperation. As the Leiden office does not exactly know which hospitals already have submitted this protocol to their ethical committees and/or their national competent authority we would like you to notify them yourselves.

In case of any questions or comments, please contact Alain Barrois

. Ops Manual
EBMT Annual Meeting Section

Ever thought about putting in a bid for the EBMT Annual Meeting?

Always wanted to know how?

Over the course of 2006 the Board spent a considerable amount of time reviewing and updating the Rules & Regulations for organising a standardised annual meeting and has produced an updated version summarising current procedures. This document will be revised on an annual basis, following the evaluation of the previous meeting. A new Venue Bid Manual has also been produced to guide members interested in submitting a bid to host a future annual meeting.

The manual aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the selection procedure, eligibility & evaluation criteria, the meeting requirements and specification of the contents of the bid document, to ensure a fair and transparent process for selecting venues.

A call for bids for EBMT 2010 will be officially announced at the EBMT 2007 meeting in Lyon, but anyone interested in submitting a bid is welcome to proceed with an 'Expression of Interest to Bid' at your earliest convenience (deadline 1st May 2007).

If you have any question or comments on the contents of the manual do not hesitate to contact: fiona.mcdonald@ebmt.org
