NG and Novartis Oncology Survey Results
Back
in September 2008, we asked EBMT Nurse Group members to complete a Europe wide survey
commissioned by the EBMT NG and Novartis Oncology.
The
aim was to define the scope of haematological nursing practice in Europe and to
identify nurses' learning needs in relation to this specialty area.
We

Therapeutic Options for Malignant Haematological Disorders (theory)
This module will enable you to critically explore current issues in haematology cancer care to inform your clinical practice. This module will deliver current evidence based content on the
management of Leukaemia, Lymphomas and
Myelomas including the process of
transplantation. The module utilises case studies
to help engage you in reflection and critical
thinking about the patient and family experience.
This module will increase your understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of care, treatment and rehabilitation of patients undergoing haemopoietic stem cell transplantation. The module explores transplant issues and examines the physiological, psychosocial and spiritual are in this area from a multi-professional perspective.
This course will help students provide effective care for patient with haematological malignancies and their families. It emphasises both the theoretical and practical aspects of care and treatment of patients with haematological malignancies, and loots at roles in the multi-professional tam.
Transplant Nursing Conference during the BMT Tandem Meetings.
As part of the 2010 BMT Tandem Meetings that will be held from 24-28 February 2010 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, a Transplant Nursing Conference will take place from 26-28 February.
