Middle-European National Group

Introduction:

The Middle-European national EBMT Nurses Group associates nurses and other health-care professionals from several transplant centres in Middle and Eastern Europe, where an international cooperation among countries with limited number of transplant centres appears to be very helpful.

Transplant centres from larger countries can also join the Middle-European group or set up their individual national group at any time. The group was established in 3/2006 and approved by the EBMT-NG Board. Its activities are in concordance to those of the EBMT-NG, endeavouring to improve and promote quality and further development of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation nursing by focusing on:

  • Evidence based nursing and standards of care
  • Accreditation
  • Research in nursing
  • Education
  • Cooperation
