Dear Colleagues

imageDear Colleagues,

Welcome to the first issue of 2008!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome two new colleagues to the subcommittee, Sabine Degen and Amelia Murst. They will introduce themselves in the next Newsletter.

There have been some changes to the Newsletter; we have decided that each issue will have a specific theme for articles and information. This edition’s theme is “Donor Issues”. Bone marrow and stem cell donors present specific challenges to Health Care Professionals, the featured article by Louise Ritchie focuses on the need for guidelines for the management of related donors of haematopoietic stem cells.

If you have any ideas for future themes and topics please let us know.

Also, we have changed our title from the Editorial Subcommittee to the more appropriate Communication and Networking Subcommittee.

As I’m sure you are aware, the annual EBMT meeting is just around the corner. This will be an excellent opportunity to share knowledge with colleagues from different parts of the world.

I look forward to seeing you in Florence!

Kind Regards,
Sara Zulu
