EBMT Lymphoma Working Party Business Meeting Hamburg 19th March, 2006.

1. Organisation of the LWP.

Overview
  • Chair Anna Sureda
  • Secretary Dr Harry Schouten
  • Sarah Craig is the assistant to the working Party but will be leaving in June and will be replaced by someone who will continue to work in the EBMT Barcelona office.
  • In 2005 there has been a dedicated Statistician for the LWP, this is Carme Canals who works in Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona. She is now working 30 hours per week and is also responsible for the trial coordination. She will be in direct contact with the PI of studies and also with participating centres.
  • Data Management is still undertaken in London but has given the trial coordination role to Carme Canals in Barcelona.
  • The website will be kept regularly updated including the status and latest data from all ongoing studies.
  • During 2006 the LWP will create a set of teaching slides with relevant data concerning the LWP. These will be kept on the website and available to any EBMT member to use during their own presentations. These slides will be updated on a yearly basis.
2. Subcommittees.

Overview
  • A document outlining the proposal of subcommittees and their workings was distributed.
  • In the slide presentation and document the practical details are laid out.
  • 4 Sub committees were proposed in 2005 and in the Business meeting they were approved, along with the introduction of one more subcommittee.
  • The following people were proposed and accepted in chairing these sub committees.
  • Hodgkin's lymphoma. - Marek Trneny, Charles University Hospital, Prague
  • Low grade NHL. - Silvia Montoto, St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London.
  • High grade B-cell NHL.- Christian Gisselbrecht, Nicolas Mounier, Hôpital Saint Louis, Paris T-cell
  • NHL. - Norbert Schmitz, AK St. Georg, Hamburg.
  • The suggestion of another subcommittee was also approved. Mantle Cell Lymphoma. A chair person is still to be decided
3. Med B Forms

Overview
  • Harry Schouten will be responsible for updating the Med B Forms. It is required to update these on a bi annual basis.
4. Educational Course

Overview
  • First Educational Course of the LWP was a success
  • Second Educational Course will be hosted by Marek Trneny in Prague and will take place on November 9th and 10th
  • Deadline for applications is September 10th.
5. Sponsors

Overview
  • The sponsors for 2005 will continue to support the LWP in 2006. They are:

  • The money will be dedicated to the Educational Course and other issues.
6. CIBMTR collaboration

Overview
  • Harry Schouten attended the CIBMTR meeting in Hawaii and presented a joint study proposal.
  • HLA identical sibling allogeneic stem cell transplantation versus HLA matched unrelated donor allogeneic stem cell transplantation in patients with follicular lymphoma, Anna Sureda and Harry Schouten.
  • The study was accepted and 40 hours of the Statistical Center allocated to the project from July 1st, 2006 to June 30, 2007.

7. New proposals for retrospective analysis.
