Joint EBMT-ESH meetings and conferences

The educational activities of the European School of Haematology (ESH) have received an important boost with the award of European Commission support for conferences and teaching tools from 2004 - 2007.

The EBMT is a key partner of ESH in this conference series and will actively contribute to the design, content and delivery of a number of events programmes:

  • Stem Cell Research (2005 & 2007)
  • Biobanking (2005 & 2007)
  • GvHD-GvL: A Paradigm of Haemopoietic Transplantation (2005 & 2007)
  • ESH-EBMT Training Conference in HSCT (2004 - 2007)
  • Workshop on Enhancing Communication within the Patient-Doctor Relationship (2004 - 2007)

Scholarship funding is available for the following courses of notable interest in 2006:

Registration & Scholarship Funding

European Commission Scholarships:
Scholarships are available. They will cover registration and/or accommodation and/or travel, according to the financial guidelines of the European Commission.

Three groups are eligible for support:

Group 1: All Early Stage Researchers having begun their doctoral studies or specialist training studies less than 4 years prior to the date of the course.

Group 2: All Experienced Researchers having begun their doctoral studies between 4 and 10 years prior to the date of the course.

Group 3: Experienced Researchers having begun their doctoral studies more than 10 years prior to the date of the course, who are nationals of an European Union Member or Associated State and are working outside of Europe.

If you want to apply for a scholarship following documents and the application form should be sent to ESH:

1) Curriculum vitae
2) Letter of motivation
3) Abstract
4) List of publications
5) For Group 1: Certificate signed by the Head of your Department
