Press identification requirements
The Congress is only open to accredited journalists. When registering at the Congress, official identification will be required in the form of one of the following:
- Accredited press card
- A letter of assignment on the letterhead of the news organisation*
- A business card issued by a recognised news organisation
A Press Badge will be issued to journalists (including freelance journalists) from the following media sources:
- Journals, magazines and news publications
- News agencies
- Newsletter media
- Broadcast media

Use of Press Badges
Registered press are required to wear their EBMT press badge at all times while on site at the Congress. The Press Badge will entitle bearers access to:
- The scientific sessions listed in the Congress final programme
- The Press conference scheduled for 30th March, 2009 at 13:00 in the Press Centre of the congress venue
- The Congress Exhibition room
- The Press Room*
*An onsite media service is at the disposition of accredited press members. Please take advantage of the services available: internet access, laptop connections, etc. You will also find all the materials you need to report on the highlights of the meeting, including the full Press Kit and other background information; daily EBMT press releases; bio-sketches and abstracts of the speakers at the Press Conference. In addition you will be provided with materials from companies that have registered for the EBMT Industry Media Service.
Our local press team from Interel Public Relations and Public Affairs and their Swedish media partners, Informedia, will be available to assist you in English or Swedish. They will be happy to answer your questions and will be able to refer you to top experts in the field on scientific issues related to blood and marrow transplantation as well as arrange interviews.

We would like to advise all members of the press that the use of film and/or video equipment to record any of the EBMT sessions is strictly prohibited unless explicit permission from the EBMT is obtained in writing. When this permission is obtained, an EBMT PR staff member will schedule a time to be present during the filming.

Press Room Guidelines
Access to the Press Room is restricted to accredited journalists and those companies who have registered for the EBMT Industry Media Service prior to the Congress. All public relations and corporate representatives are urged to respect the space provided for journalists to work and their need to meet strict deadlines.
Companies who have registered for the EBMT Industry Media Service (see below) are entitled to register guests to access the Media Room. Guest registrations should be processed at the Press Desk. For further information on this subject please contact Emma Hakansson at: emma.hakansson@informedia.se.
Only the companies who are part of the Media Service can distribute their institutional or corporate media materials and product information in the “Industry Press” section of the Media Room. All materials must be clearly marked as Industry materials and should show the embargo time and the abstract number where relevant. Use of the EBMT logo on any materials without explicit written permission from the EBMT is prohibited.

Industry Media Service and Materials
At EBMT 2009 there will an on-site Press Service and Media Service tailored to the exhibitors requirements. The benefits of signing up to this service are numerous and for a nominal fee you can maximise your company's media exposure, conducted by PR professionals, which allows you to focus on other aspects of the Congress.
This year the EBMT is offering two tailored packages, each with a different level of service to meet your needs:
- Starter Package
- Advanced Package

Congress Embargo Policy
Members of the press are requested to respect press release embargo dates and times. All content, including online content which may be pre-published in advance of the print edition, is still subject to the EBMT Congress Embargo Policy until the official release date and time. Embargo dates and times will be given on all embargoed material.
Abstracts presented at the Congress should not be cited until the official start date of the congress on 29th March 2009.

Non-EBMT Press Events
Press briefings, news conferences, and press receptions, other than those sponsored by the EBMT, are not permitted on site at the convention centre at any time during convention.
Only companies having subscribed at EBMT’s Media Service are allowed to organise Press Events.
